Kien Xuong: Total production value reached over VND 8,551 billion
In the first 9 months of 2021, in the context of the complicated development of Covid-19 epidemic, Kien Xuong district still performed well the “dual goal” of both epidemic prevention and control and economic development.

In the first 9 months of the year, the total production value in the district reached over VND 8,551 billion, increasing by 6.5% over the same period in 2020. In which, the production value of agriculture - forestry - fishery reached VND 2,064.63 billion, increasing by 2.29%; industry - capital construction reached VND 4,516.2 billion, increasing by 9%; trade - service reached VND 1,970.2 billion, increasing by 5.52%.
The above results were obtained due to the drastic and synchronous direction of the District Party Committee, People’s Council and People’s Committee in all fields. Especially in the prevention and control of Covid-19 epidemic, the district has mobilized the participation of the whole political system and people, so even though there were positive cases of SARS-CoV-2 in the area, the epidemic was controlled and there was no infected case in the community, contributing to stabilizing the situation and promoting the economic development.
Many enterprises in Kien Xuong organized a successful exercise of Covid-19 epidemic prevention and control in a hypothetical situation when there was an F0 case in the factory.
In the last 3 months of 2021, along with the good implementation of the prevention and control of Covid-19 epidemic, Kien Xuong will focus on agricultural development, focus on caring for and protecting late-season rice, expanding the area for growing winter crops; maintain and develop 24 existing trade villages; focus on site clearance for key works and projects and create all favorable conditions for production and business enterprises. Kien Xuong strives to achieve total production value of VND 12,138 billion r more in 2021, increasing by 10.9% compared to 2020.
