Thien Quy Pagoda (also known as Ky Con Pagoda) is located in Ky Con Village, Dong Xuan Commune, Dong Hung District. It was built at the end of the Ly dynasty, at the beginning of the Tran dynasty. This is a pagoda with specially rare and unique Buddhist statue; it is alsoconsider a center of convergence, linking cultural activities of the community of five villages in two communes Dong Xuan and Dong Quang.
Traditionally, on the 10th of January every year, Thien Quy Pagoda Festival is held. Highlighted at the opening ceremony was the ceremony of consecrating and honoring the five elders in the historical relic and the incense offering, sacred, performing folk games that attracted thousands of visitors and faithful Buddhists.
The festival is an opportunity for the local people to pay homage to their predecessors who have publicly declared their land, built the villages and hamlets. At the same time, the people come to Thien Quy Pagoda to pray for the good weather, fresh crops, national security and family prosperity.
