2^nd term: Striving to maintain growth momentum

In the first 9 months of 2020, despite a lot of difficulties, Dong Hung district still maintained its growth momentum with production value reaching more than VND 9,700 billion, increasing by 3.58% compared with the same period of 2019; of which, agricultural, forestry and fishery production increased by 2.75%, industrial production, basic construction increased by 4.6%, commercial production and service increased by 1.76% compared with the same period of 2019.

Mr. To Xuan Thuc, Chairman of the District People's Committee said: To complete the socio-economic development targets set in 2020, in the last 3 months of 2020, Dong Hung must strive to reach 5,356 billion VND, increasing by 20.64% compared with the same period of 2019; of which agriculture, forestry and fishery production increased by 7.64%, industrial production and construction increased by 23.31%, and trade and service production increased by 28.31% over the same period of 2019. That was an extremely heavy task that required the district to implement more drastically solutions in leadership, direction and administration; in which, focusing on directing communes and towns to change the crop structure on inefficient rice land in order to improve the value of agricultural production; attach importance to improving the investment and business environment, and encourage qualified production establishments to establish enterprises; pay attention to remove difficulties and problems for businesses; continue to coordinate with the province's functional departments to do well the site clearance for a number of key traffic works of the district....

Not only localities, departments, branches and units in the province in the last months of this year are also making efforts to implement solutions to complete the 2020 plan at the highest level.

Mr. Tran Huy Quan, Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, said: In the coming time, the Industry and Trade sector will strengthen coordination and speed up the progress of major investment projects so that the project will soon come into operation, creating strong changes in the province's industrial production capacity; proactively review and promptly remove real difficulties and problems for enterprises and production and business establishments in the province to overcome difficulties caused by the Covid-19 epidemic; at the same time, continue to effectively support businesses to develop markets, sell products, and guide exporters in the area to effectively implement the EVFTA.

Directing at the meetings of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the Executive Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Mr. Ngo Dong Hai, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested that the whole political system in the province should make efforts to emulate, determine to achieve the highest possible socio-economic development goals in 2020; Each branch, each locality must clearly see the situation and identify their responsibilities and tasks, focus on advising the province on measures to overcome difficulties, restore and develop socio-economic, and to achieve the highest level of targets and plans set out in 2020; in particular, it is necessary to clearly identify the existing causes and limitations to focus on overcoming. The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested that in the last 3 months of 2020, departments, branches and localities focus on drastically directing agricultural production, maintaining the quality and ensuring the highest yield in the crop; deploying effectively winter production; well implementing measures to prevent and combat natural disasters, preventing and fighting epidemics; implementing solutions to promote livestock development, strongly developing aquaculture, thereby boosting agricultural growth, contributing to the overall GRDP growth of the whole province; urgently, proactively removing difficulties and problems for businesses; support businesses heavily affected by the Covid-19 epidemic, creating conditions for businesses to restore production, creating jobs and income for people; keeping on developing and completing projects, schemes, plans, paying attention to building medium-term plans, plans for the period of 2020 - 2025; focusing on accelerating the progress of key projects; concentrating on promoting budget revenue at all levels and consider this as one of the top key tasks from now to the end of the year.

Despite a lot of immediate difficulties, especially when the epidemic of Covid-19 in many countries around the world is still complicated, businesses still face difficulties due to their dependence on material resource for export. However, with the determination of all levels, branches and localities fully, promptly and effectively implement the solutions, the province's economy will continue to maintain growth momentum, creating a premise to implement successfully the targets set out in 2020 as well as the period of 2015 - 2020.
