Promote the spirit of "Cooperation - Innovation - Development - Efficiency"

In the term 2015 - 2020, the Provincial Union of Cooperatives has implemented many breakthrough solutions to complete and exceed the targets set by the Resolution of the 5th Congress of the Provincial Union of Cooperatives, contributing to the collective economy. The cooperatives develop quickly and sustainably. The quantity and quality of activities of cooperatives and cooperative groups (THT) have been increased. The cooperatives are operating in the right nature, focusing on economic support for members; Cooperative managers are enthusiastic, experienced, and sensitive to the market. Thereby, step by step improving the role and position of the market economy in the new situation.

Support members
Currently, the whole province has 440 cooperatives, including: 330 agricultural cooperatives, 13 handicraft cooperatives, 2 construction cooperatives, 5 trade service cooperatives, 4 transportation cooperatives, 1 other field cooperatives and 85 people trust funds; 1 union of cooperatives; 190 cooperatives group with 545,000 members. The cooperatives have affirmed an important role in promoting socio-economic development; well perform service activities, create conditions for farmers' members and households to change the structure of crops and animals, apply technical advances to production in order to improve productivity and quality of products.  With 545,000 members; The average revenue of an agricultural cooperative reached 1,150 billion VND/year, the average interest was 85 million VND/year; Non-agricultural cooperatives reached 5 billion VND/year, average profit 430 million VND/year, member income from 4.5 to 6,5 million VND/person/month.

In order to gradually change the awareness of officials, party members and people about the position and role of the market economy, in the past term, propaganda was particularly interested and promoted and diversified in many forms such as: coordinating with the Provincial Television, Thai Binh Newspaper to open special pages, columns, reports, news, articles on collective economy, advanced examples, effective production and business models. In 2019, the website of the Provincial Union of Cooperatives came into operation, contributing to promoting the propagation of the policies of the Party and the State on the development of Knowledge-based economy to officials and people in the province and neighbouring province ... Last period, the Provincial Union of Cooperatives opened 37 training courses on management, production and business operations for 3,280 times of chairman of the board of directors, director, chief accountant, professional officers of cooperatives and people credit fund; Thereby, the qualifications, awareness, skills in leadership, production and business management of the staff of cooperatives, people credit funds, professional staff, professional and employees are raised and increasingly effective. From 2015 up to now, the Provincial Cooperative Union has created favorable conditions for members to borrow an amount of 6,260 million VND to develop production and business effectively, creating job conditions for hundreds of employees with stable income.

Trade promotion activities are regularly organized by the Provincial Union of Cooperatives to introduce and promote brands and products, and at the same time create opportunities for members to search for markets, sign joint venture, associate and investment cooperation contracts with other businesses outside the province.

Thuy Van Commune’s Agricultural Service Production and Business Co-operative (Thai Thuy) manages the harvest well, ensures the season and saves costs for members.

Keep on innovating
In the period 2020 - 2025, the Provincial Union of Cooperatives aims to diversify types of cooperatives, build a new model of cooperatives associated with the development of the value chain of key products; attach importance to developing agricultural production and organic husbandry cooperatives; build cooperatives in regions, where there are products with competitive advantages, build specialized cooperative models; improve the quality and efficiency of production and business activities of cooperatives in accordance with specific socio-economic conditions of localities in the province. The development of the people's credit fund system becomes an important part of the market economy, contributing to meeting the borrowing needs for production and business development in rural areas.

In order to achieve the set targets, in the term of 2020 - 2025, the Provincial Union of Cooperatives will continue to build and consolidate a strong political organization, unify goals and orientations; promote propaganda, mobilization and development of Knowledge-based economy; advise the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, Provincial People's Committee to direct and improve mechanisms and policies to encourage the development of Knowledge-based economy and cooperatives in the period of 2020 - 2025. Promote activities to support cooperative development: select typical and advanced cooperatives to support and guide the construction of pilot development under a new cooperative model suitable to the context of the industrial revolution 4.0; focus on consulting and supporting cooperatives, union of cooperatives, and cooperatives in the application of advanced scientific and technical achievements to improve productivity and product quality. Consult localities to build a solid linkage value chain between 4 houses (state, scientist, farmer and cooperative). Organize trade promotion activities, support cooperatives through trade promotion policies, connect supply - demand; build and develop trademarks; advertise information, images of cooperatives products, industries and services. Improve effectiveness of inspection, represent, protect legitimate rights and interests of members; promote emulation movements to promote the economic and cooperative sector to develop.

With the spirit of "Cooperation - Innovation - Development - Efficiency", the Provincial Cooperative Union will continue to strongly innovate the content and operating methods to improve the production efficiency of the member units. Encourage the diversification of forms of association, production organization associated with economic restructuring, contributing to the completion of goals in building a new countryside. Promote the role of the representative organization, protect the legitimate rights and interests of its members and be a reliable support for cooperatives.
