Provincial Business Association: Together with the business community, better itself
For nearly two years, Thai Binh business community has experienced many difficulties due to the negative impact of Covid-19 epidemic. As an organization for protecting the interests of businesses, the Provincial Business Association has had many activities to support businesses to develop production and business, and adapt to the new normal state.
Huong Sen Comfor Yarn Spinning Company Limited (Dong Hai industrial cluster, Quynh Phu district) invests in many automation machines to improve the working environment for workers and increase labor productivity.
Damsan Joint Stock Company (Nguyen Duc Canh Industrial Park, Thai Binh City) operates in many sectors. Currently, the Company is investing in the following fields: textile, social housing, real estate and construction, business in infrastructure of industrial clusters. Due to the impact of Covid-19 epidemic, the source of raw materials for production faced difficulties, the real estate market “cooled down”, the promotion to attract investment in An Ninh industrial cluster (Tien Hai) of the company is also limited.
Mr. Vu Huy Dong, Chairman of the Management Board of Damsan Joint Stock Company shared: To overcome difficulties, besides the dynamism and creativity of officials and employees in production and trade promotion, investment attraction, the Company was also promptly grasped by the Provincial Business Association and reported to the relevant authorities to support and remove obstacles and difficulties, so the production and business activities of the Company were still maintained stably, An Ninh industrial cluster has attracted a secondary project with a total investment of 1,000 billion Vietnam dongs and there are a number of FDI investors applying for research and investment here.
Not only Damsan Joint Stock Company, the enterprises in the province, especially production and business enterprises in the field of ceramics, glass, and building materials with difficulties are also coordinated by the Provincial Business Association with departments, sectors, People’s Committees of districts and cities to discuss solutions to solve and contribute to stabilizing the production. In addition to participating in developing the policy, training on legal knowledge and corporate governance, the Provincial Business Association provides information on policies and updates of the socio-economic development planning and plan of the province, forecasts domestic and international market trends to help businesses research in order to orient the investment, seek for investment opportunities, and promote production, business and export of goods.
Accompanying with the businesses in the prevention and control of Covid-19 epidemic, the Provincial Business Association regularly propagates and instructs the businesses to strictly implement the epidemic prevention and control measures under the direction of the central government and the province, guidance of the health sector. In particular, in the third quarter of 2021, the Provincial Business Association was allocated 50,000 doses of Covid-19 vaccine by the Provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 prevention and control for officials and employees of key enterprises implementing well the epidemic prevention. The Standing Committee of the Provincial Business Association has agreed to direct, deploy the distribution and organization of vaccination at businesses to ensure safety, schedule and not affect the production and business activities of the businesses.
Mr. Nguyen Quoc Phong, Deputy Director of Long Hau Porcelain Joint Stock Company (Tien Hai Industrial Park) said: Up to now, 500 officials and workers of the Company have been vaccinated against Covid-19. Along with the implementation of the “5K” recommendation, vaccinated employees will protect their health, help them feel more secure, and focus on efficient production.
Responding to the movement of businesses to promote production and business emulation launched by the Provincial People’s Committee, the Provincial Business Association has actively mobilized and encouraged businesses to associate, share the management experience, apply advanced science and technology into production and business, help each other to sell products.
Mr. Do Van Ve, Chairman of the Provincial Business Association said: Thai Binh business community has well performed the dual task under the direction of the Government and the Provincial People’s Committee, which is both preventing and controlling the epidemic and stabilizing production and business. For the effective operation of businesses, in addition to ensuring job maintenance and stabilizing the lives of more than 280,000 employees, it also contributes an important part to the economic development and implementation of the social security policies of the province. In the first 9 months of 2021, the industrial production value of the whole province was estimated at 55,451 billion Vietnam dongs, increasing by 15%; export turnover was estimated at more than 1,578 million USD, increasing by 45% over the same period. The business community in the province has paid an estimated 5,072 billion Vietnam dongs to the budget.
Over 17,500 employees of Tan De Sportwear Manufacturing Joint Stock Company emulates good employees and creative employees, surpasses the targets of production and business plan in 2021.
Not only emulating the production and business, Thai Binh business community also always upholds social responsibility, shares with the community, shows the beauty of corporate culture and entrepreneurial culture. The businesses have donated and awarded 33,500 New Year’s gifts to poor households and policy families with difficult circumstances with a total value of 13.4 billion Vietnam dongs. In particular, nearly 100 businesses have donated 6 billion Vietnam dongs for the Association to buy and donate biological materials in service of SARS-CoV-2 testing and screening, patient transport vehicles, construction of cold store to preserve vaccines, medical equipment for frontline forces fighting against the epidemic. In addition, the businesses also donated money and essential goods to epidemic control checkpoints, lecturers and students volunteering to go to the Southern provinces for epidemic prevention and control and supported food for people in epidemic areas in Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Duong Province.
The companionship of the Provincial Business Association with the businesses to develop and the beautiful images about Thai Binh businesses have contributed together with all levels and sectors to create an increasingly attractive investment and business environment of the province. Only in the first 9 months of this year, 59 investment projects in the province have been approved for investment policies and adjusted for investment policies with a total registered capital of over 16,723 billion Vietnam dongs. Notably, there are 3 big projects of FDI enterprises investing in Thai Binh Economic Zone with a total registered capital of about 395 million USD. Up to now, the province has 7,733 enterprises, 921 branches and representative offices registered to operate with a total registered capital of over 97,529 billion Vietnam dongs. This is a powerful force, contributing actively to the socio-economic development of the province at present and in the coming time.
