In the afternoon of May 27, Mr. Nguyen Khac Than, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Planning Committee of Thai Binh province for the period of 2021 - 2030, vision to 2050 (the Provincial Planning Committee for the formulation of regulations) chaired the meeting of the Provincial People's Committee to listen to the Provincial Planning Steering Committee report at the beginning of the planning period of Thai Binh province in the period of 2021 - 2030, vision to 2050.

Thai Binh province planning period 2021 - 2030, vision to 2050 approved by the Prime Minister the planning task on a total natural area of more than 1,586km2 and the marine space with an area of more than 164km2 with 8 units. The administrative division includes Thai Binh city and 7 districts. On the basis of documents, data and statistical yearbooks from 2010 to 2019 provided by departments, branches, People's Committees of districts and cities, survey all areas in the province, in-depth survey of localities. Based on those surveys and assessments, the Thai Binh provincial planning consultancy consortium proposed priority development orientations to strengthen regional linkages, urban and rural development, and economic space development and develop a number of other fields such as: science and technology, labor and human resources, health and education, orientation of marine spatial planning, land use planning, sustainable development, security and national defense.
On the basis of the speeches of the delegates attending the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Khac Than, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Steering Committee for provincial planning emphasized: Thai Binh province’s planning in the period of 2021 - 2030, vision to 2050 has a very important and guiding meaning in the implementation of the province's tasks in the period of 2021 - 2030, vision to 2050; Therefore, it is very important to develop a plan to ensure quality, to meet development requirements and to suit the new situation. He asked all levels, branches and members of the Steering Committee to correctly identify the purpose, meaning and role of the provincial planning work; on that basis, fully, timely and accurately implement the assigned tasks; well perform their assigned responsibilities and professional tasks, and at the same time coordinate with the consulting consortium, the Department of Planning and Investment to urge related units in the process of implementing assigned tasks.
For the consulting joint venture, the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, the Head of the Provincial Planning Committee requested to further accelerate the progress of the work, have an appropriate working method to improve the quality of planning work; at the same time, receiving opinions of the participants of the meeting, on that basis, complete the report at the beginning of the period and submit it to the Standing Board of the Provincial Party Committee, in which it is necessary to pay attention to some additional contents on the proposals for priority development orientation. development of the province such as: the plan to develop the electricity supply and transmission network to serve the needs of the province's socio-economic development; telecommunications network development plan; waste treatment zone development plan; plans for environmental protection, exploitation and protection of natural resources and natural disaster prevention and control; plans to develop irrigation systems and social infrastructures; a plan for allocation and zoning of land according to functional areas and by type of land to each district and city-level administrative unit in accordance with law.
