The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee informed about the geographical location, the socio-economic development situation and the advantages and strengths of Thai Binh province.

At the meeting, Chairman of Thai Binh Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Khac Than gave an overview of the geographical location, socio-economic development situation and advantages and strengths of Thai Binh province, especially in the field of industrial and energy development; orientation policies in the socio-economic development of Thai Binh in the coming time.

Mr. Carsten Baltzer Rode - Interim Representative of the Embassy of Denmark in Vietnam informed more about the outstanding achievements in the friendly relationship between Denmark and Vietnam, especially in clean energy development and global green transformation program. Denmark and Thai Binh have a close relationship for a long time, especially in the health sector. It is hoped that Denmark and Thai Binh will continue to expand their relationship in the field of offshore wind power development.

Denmark is a country that has developed offshore wind power quite early, especially Orsted Group, which has successfully built an offshore wind farm since 1991 and is a leading group in wind power development of Denmark. Orsted Group of Denmark and T&T Group of Vietnam are the leading investor consortium in offshore wind power in Vietnam. Mr. Carsten Baltzer Rode - Interim Representative of the Embassy of Denmark in Vietnam affirmed:

Mr. Sebastian Hald Buhl - Director of Orsted Group informed more about the formation process, organizational structure, experience and outstanding achievements of Orsted Group in the field of wind power development and wished to cooperate with Thai Binh effectively implement offshore wind power projects in Thai Binh province. 

Representative of T&T Group spoke at the meeting

A representative of T&T Group said that offshore wind power is a new technology, has high investment costs and is an inevitable trend in the development of the world today. Therefore, we are looking forward to receiving the attention, support and close coordination of the province and related sectors for the investor consortium in the process of researching and implementing the project when permitted.

The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee spoke at the meeting

The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee affirmed that developing clean energy is an inevitable trend of the world today. At the same time, emphasizing the good relationship between the two countries, Thai Binh fully believes in the effectiveness of the project. Thai Binh strongly supports the consortium of investors in the development of offshore wind power projects in Thai Binh province.

The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee also informed the consortium of investors about the policy and support of the Government and ministries and branches of Vietnam for the development of wind power projects in Thai Binh. Thai Binh province has been persistent, determined and fiercely pursuing wind power development for many years and also hopes to continue to welcome investors. The biggest obstacle in offshore wind power development today is still the legal corridor. Therefore, we hope that the investor consortium has close coordination with the province in implementing the steps and reporting process to the Government and central ministries and branches for permission to implement.

In addition, Thai Binh also wishes to continue to receive the attention of the Danish Government and investors in other fields in which Thai Binh has strengths for the common development goal of the two nations and people.
