Provincial Statistics Office: Press conference to announce the socio-economic situation in the first 6 months of 2023
In the afternoon of 29 June, the Provincial Statistics Office held a press conference to announce the socio-economic situation in the first 6 months of 2023 in Thai Binh province.

In the first 6 months of 2023, the socio-economic situation in the province continued to remain stable and achieved positive results in all fields. Gross regional domestic product (GRDP) was estimated at nearly 31,100 billion VND, increasing by 7.77% over the same period in 2022, ranking 10th out of 63 provinces and cities nationwide and ranking 5th out of 11 provinces and cities in the Red river delta region; in which the agriculture, forestry and fishery sector increased by 2.3%, the industry and construction sector increased by 13.1%, the trade and service sector increased by 6.79% and the product tax decreased by 0.74%. The province’s agricultural, forestry and fishery production continued to grow; the measures to prevent and control epidemics for livestock continued to be well implemented. Industrial production index was estimated to increase by 13.8% over the same period in 2022. Total state budget revenue was estimated at nearly 13,009 billion VND, reaching 62% of the estimate, in which domestic revenue was estimated at 3,374 billion VND, decreasing by 30.1% over the same period in 2022 and import and export tax collection was estimated at 1,050 billion VND, decreasing by 44.4% over the same period in 2022; total local budget expenditure was estimated at more than 7,688 billion VND, increasing by 14.7% over the same period in 2022. Total realized investment capital in the province reached 26,772 billion VND, increasing by 4.7% over the same period in 2022. The average consumer price index in the first 6 months of 2023 increased by 2.04% over the same period in 2022.
For the targets in the social field, in the first 6 months of 2023, the province had 19,100 people who were settled new jobs, reaching 55.6% of the year plan; implemented the policy of unemployment benefit for nearly 4,200 employees; consulted, introduced jobs for 18,490 people, successfully organized 12 fixed job sessions and 2 online job sessions; the province maintained the receipt, appraisal of dossiers and settlement of regimes and policies for people with meritorious services, ensuring the correct process and regulated time...
