The One Commune One Product (OCOP) program has received a lot of attention from all levels and sectors to stakeholders, creating good quality OCOP products. In 2022, the OCOP program continues to create a ripple effect, which is positively responded by product manufacturers and people.

In 2021, the chicken egg product of Thai Binh Green Livestock Cooperative (Vu Thu) was one of 47 products recognized by OCOP, rated 3 stars. Mr. Pham Van Trang, a member of the cooperative said: My family's laying hen farm with a scale of 13,000 chickens provides eggs mainly for the cooperative. During the breeding process, I strictly follow the good husbandry practice process for breeding poultry: breeding only 1-2 breeds of breeding chickens are quarantined to ensure disease safety, purchased at the hatchery. prestige and quality; closed cage system, with ventilation fan, with a cooling system, always ensuring a suitable and stable temperature; there is an automatic fecal removal system, ensuring veterinary hygiene, a clean environment, convenient and easy care, etc., thus limiting a lot of diseases. Every year my family's farm provides about 4 million eggs. Eggs are sold on the spot, buyers are registered traders who have contracts with cooperatives and members at market prices. The product serves for the collective kitchens of companies, factories, confectionery companies and markets in the area. Participating in the OCOP program, we have the advantage of product quality when complying with biosafety farming, the cooperative invests in packaging and labels to market, promote and expand the market. As a result, the consumption of eggs is more favorable, since the beginning of the year until now, the egg price has maintained from 2,500 - 3,000 VND/egg, bringing an income of about 100 million VND/month.
OCOP from being a strange name, it has now become familiar to not only producers but also customers. In particular, many processed food products have become trusted and indispensable items of housewives when they go shopping. “For a long time, when shopping for processed food products, I often choose OCOP products at supermarkets and clean food stores. These products not only ensure the quality of food hygiene and safety, fresh and delicious, but the packaging and labels are also very beautiful, clearly stating the origin of the products, so we feel secure to use them” - Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong, Tran Lam ward (Thai Binh city) said.
Over the past time, all levels, sectors and localities have focused on supporting organizations and individuals producing products participating in the OCOP program with specific solutions such as: consulting orientation to upgrade and perfect products in the direction of quality standardization; managing and monitoring quality standards; support training, technical guidance, branding, trade promotion, product promotion... On that basis, many businesses, production facilities, cooperatives have focused on investing in improving product quality products to meet standards of quality, design, food safety and environmental regulations. In 2021, although the production and consumption of agricultural products faces a lot of difficulties due to the Covid-19 epidemic, the province still promotes activities to promote the development of the OCOP program. The province has 47 more OCOP products, of which 25 out of them are agricultural products and food.
To exploit available local resources and develop OCOP products in the province, the New Rural Construction Coordination Office coordinates with localities to survey potential and advantageous products. From there, develop a plan for localities to accompany the subject of production development according to OCOP standards, supplement and complete the missing criteria compared to the set of criteria for evaluating and ranking OCOP products. In addition, the New Rural Construction Coordinating Office coordinates with relevant departments and branches to support construction subjects to complete packaging, labels, and procedures related to intellectual property; at the same time, promoting trade promotion activities, promoting OCOP products... In 2022, the whole province has 45 potential products registered to participate in the development of OCOP products.
Rosemary growing area of Hoang Minh Agricultural Service Business Cooperative, Quynh Hong commune (Quynh Phu).
Realizing the potential and value of rosemary, Mr. Nguyen Van Thang, from Quynh Hong commune (Quynh Phu) boldly rented 10 hectares of inefficient rice cultivation to invest in growing rosemary. After more than 2 years of planting, Mr. Thang was able to extract essential oils by himself, produce a number of products from rosemary, and at the same time established Hoang Minh Agricultural Service Business Cooperative. Mr. Thang said: I find the biggest benefit from the OCOP program is that consumers understand, know and identify OCOP products as quality products and brands, so they can feel secure to choose and use. Therefore, I registered the cooperative's rosemary oil products to participate in the OCOP program in 2022 and was confident in the product quality when applying safe production processes during the past time.
With the orientation of connecting OCOP products associated with tourism development, OCOP products will enrich and increase the uniqueness of tourism activities, whereas tourism contributes to promoting consumption of OCOP products and improving the value of products, industries and localities are focusing on promoting training, visiting, studying and organizing thematic activities about the OCOP program, seeking ideas and supporting product development.
