Cultural beauty on the ancient land

Tran Temple Festival (in Tam Duong village, Tien Duc commune, Hung Ha district) is an opportunity for tourists to visit, remember and learn more about the merits and brilliant development of Tran Dynasty.

For a long time, visitors all knew about Thai Binh – home of rice paddies - a place with traditional festivals and unique cultural works. The destination you should not miss when coming here is the relic complex of the tomb and temple of the Tran Dynasty kings. The land of Long Hung (now Hung Ha district) from the beginning of the thirteenth century was chosen by the Tran dynasty as the place to build a career. In “Dai Viet historical chronicles”, “Viet History”, “Literature and records” ... all clearly stated: “The ancestors of the Tran dynasty, life after life are fishermen. From the beginning of the 12th century, Tran family came to Tuc Mac (Nam Dinh) and Luu Xa (Hung Ha, Thai Binh) to live and work in fishing. Seeing the favorable land of Long Hung, with a beautiful terrain, Mr. Tran Hap moved his father's tomb to Thai Duong (now Tien Duc commune, Hung Ha district) to settle, cultivate wet rice, and develop farming there. This is the place of origin, career development, the direct origin of the Tran dynasty - the most prosperous and powerful feudal state throughout the Vietnam history of national construction and defense.

The very first kings of the Tran dynasty were born here, the Tran family based on this land to start their course. The land of Long Hung in the past, Hung Ha today is not only a place to preserve the dragon earth layer to help the Tran dynasty prosper, but also an important and very difficult to access place to train soldiers, accumulate food, build weapons and prepare food for the troops. All three times in the resistance against the Yuan - Mongol invaders, the land of Long Hung - Hung Ha was the place that Tran dynasty chose to be an important base for gathering soldiers, preparing weapons and food. After 3 times defeating the Yuan - Mongol people, the Tran kings and royal families all returned to their homeland, held a ceremony to pay respect to their ancestors, bestowed blessings on the people and celebrated the victories. This is also the resting place of the ancestors of Tran dynasty, of ancestor Tran Thua and the three first kings of the Tran dynasty.

In the front there are 3 mounds of swords, namely Chieu Lang, Du Lang and Duc Lang, the back is leaning on Tam Duong village. In 1999, the temple of the Tran dynasties was built majestically. Temple gate has three arches with two-layer overlapping roofs. Through the temple gate, the temple yard is a worshiping hall. Across the worshiping hall is the courtyard where incense and sacrifice activities take place. The second building is the work connecting the pavement and the court. Connecting the pavilion, the court, the second court is the harem building of about 90m2. This is the place to worship the ancestors Tran Kinh, Tran Hap, Tran Ly, Emperor Tran Thua, the Grand Master Tran Thu Do, and the Queen Tran Thi Dung - those who had merits in starting the Tran dynasty.
